Close Your Eyes
Jun 15, 2014

Hailing from Abilene, Texas, the melodic rock band, Close Your Eyes, are known for their infectious, explosive energy and uncompromising musical capabilities. They continue this tradition with their third album, Line In The Sand, out now via Victory Records featuring new single, "Kings of John Payne." The album was produced by Cameron Webb (Thirty Seconds To Mars, Weezer, Alkaline Trio).
Original Close Your Eyes lead singer Shane Raymond left the band due to personal reasons in 2012. Mikey Sawyer briefly joined as the band's touring lead vocalist before former Blessed By A Broken Heart singer Sam Robinson joined the band in July 2013 as they began work on their latest album.
This new singer indeed brings a new exciting edge to the band and they're releasing some of their best work to date. This latest track demonstrates their ability to write strikingly delicate rock anthems that are simultaneously vulnerable and empowering. Line In The Sand finds the band sounding more assured than ever. Still straddling the lines of punk and hardcore, their volatile but hopeful sound is refined.
Close Your Eyes members include Sam Robinson (lead vocals), Brett Callaway (guitar & backing vocals), Andrew Rodriguez (guitar & engineering), Sonny Vega (bass & backing vocals) and Jordan Hatfield (drums). They released their debut album in 2010, We Will Overcome. Their second album Empty Hands and Heavy Hearts came out in 2011.
They will be busy touring this summer with the 2014 Vans Warped Tour.
