Young Rising Sons
Jul 20, 2014

Red Bank, New Jersey's Young Rising Son recently signed to Interscope Records. Their lead single "High" has everything you would want from an indie pop song, playful whistling, booming drums and charging vocal harmonies that carry the listener through memorable choruses. Young Rising Sons will be releasing their self-titled debut EP on July 22nd via Dirty Canvas/Interscope.
Lead singer Andy Tongren explains "High" as a "song about letting go and enjoying the better times in life. It made sense to shoot 'High' in Red Bank, by the ocean. We wanted to film it where we spend our time together."
Lead guitarist Dylan Scott, bassist Julian Dimagiba and drummer Steve Patrick (all New Jersey natives who had played music together throughout high school) saw lead singer Andy Tongren performing an acoustic set at a New York City bar and approached him about singing for their newly formed band back in 2010. This four piece rock outfit has obviously stirred up some buzz for themselves through touring, as they've already amassed close to a thousand likes on Facebook.
Young Rising Sons will spend the rest of the summer on the road. They recently kicked off a tour opening for Miniature Tigers and will then spend August out with Little Daylight and finally joining Kongos on tour in September.
