The Bots

Pink Palms, the forthcoming debut album from Los Angeles sibling duo The Bots, will be available on October 14th via FADER Label. The band's current single "All I Really Want", was premiered by Zane Lowe on his popular BBC Radio 1 show in the UK.
The album, recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Justin Warfield, with additional production by Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, brings together the veracity of garage punk while paying homage to the American Blues tradition. Pink Palms was mixed by Michael Patterson (Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G) and mastered by Emily Lazar (HAIM, Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters).
"The process of making this album was very different from anything we've ever done before when recording - mostly notably that it was the first time we worked with producers," says Mikaiah Lei, The Bots' lead vocalist, keyboard-player, guitarist and bassist. "Thematically, there's the recurring subject matter of sadness, loneliness, and regret, but underneath it all, there's an element of happiness and an overall melancholy vibe to these songs."
In addition to rocking stages at the Vans Warped Tour and Coachella, this punk/blues duo has been tapped as an opening act for the likes of Bad Brains, Tenacious D, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They also got quite a bit of attention when Blur/Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn referred to the brothers as his "current favorite band." With their major label debut coming in October, they will tour across the U.S. and Europe to follow.
