Waters

The San Francisco five-piece band, Waters, will be releasing their EP, It All Might Be Ok via Vagrant Records on October 14th. The lead single, "I Feel Everything" which is a sonic boom of immediately catchy riffs and incredible guitar hooks. Having worked with Grouplove, their semi-ethereal charm is evident, but "I Feel Everything" is executed in a particularly carefree fashion.
"This song came about after listening to alternative rock radio for the first time in ages and recognizing the lack of anything alternative or rock about it," noted lead singer/guitarist Van Pierszalowski. "Where are those dirty guitars? Where is that frenetic energy? Where are the songs that made us want to start a band in the first place? Most days don't feel like they're going to be the best days of your life. Most days are kind of fucked up. And it's nice to have a sanctuary for those days, and for us-that's always been rock and roll. 'I Feel Everything' is our rally call to get that back."
Van Pierszalowski, the songwriter and primary ringleader of Waters, has always seemed like a guy on the brink of widespread stardom. The band's music is an ear-pleasing mix of guitar-driven rock riffs and power pop hooks the size of Buicks; it's radio-ready without feeling squeaky-clean, in no small part thanks to Pierszalowski's plaintive vocals.
Earlier in this year, Waters self-released the single "Got To My Head" which was highly-touted in music blogs and championed by SiriusXM Alt Nation (over 800 total spins to date).
Waters will be touring all over the US and playing at big and small venues in support of their forthcoming EP.
