Coheed And Cambria
Aug 14, 2015

"You Got Spirit, Kid" is the first taste from Coheed And Cambria's upcoming album entitled "The Color Before The Sun". This collection will be out on October 9th via 300 Entertainment. The disc is notable for the fact that it's the group's first non-conceptual release. The band gathered at St. Charles Studio in Nashville with producer Jay Joyce to put together this latest album. Vocalist and guitarist Claudio Sanchez said the new album marks the first time he has explored his personal feelings in music.
"I kind of want people to know that Coheed can write that sort of record. I've always said in the past that there's never been a limitation on the band. It makes no sense to me to draw a line in the sand and never cross it."
Originally from Nyack, New York and formed in 1995, "The Color Before The Sun" will be the band's eighth studio album. The band consists of Claudio Sanchez (lead vocals & guitar), Travis Stever (guitar & backing vocals), Josh Eppard (drums & keyboards) and Zach Cooper (bass). Most of Coheed And Cambria's albums are concept albums based on a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a series written by Claudio Sanchez, which has been transcribed into a series of comic books and a full-length novel. The band has released seven studio albums, three live albums, and several special-edition releases.
Coheed And Cambria are back on the road this month playing at a variety of festivals and more. There are also a handful of European dates with the band saluting their 2003 In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.
