The Tennessee six-piece, Kopecky, formerly known as the Kopecky Family Band, released their second full-length album, "Drug For The Modern Age" on May 19th via ATO Records. It's the follow-up to their 2012 debut album "Kids Raising Kids." The album was produced by Konrad Snyder (whose credits include working with Milo Greene and Night Beds).
"Our goal was to talk about all these very serious things we were dealing with, but in a way that felt nothing like wallowing and more like standing triumphantly," says front-man Gabe Simon.
Formed in Nashville in 2007, the group consists of Kelsey Kopecky (vocals, keyboards and bass), Gabe Simon (vocals, guitar and horns), Steven Holmes (guitar and lap steel guitar), David Krohn (drums), Markus Midkiff (cello, guitar and keyboards) and Corey Oxendine (bass, guitar and horns).
Kopecky's music has been featured on various television shows such as Grey's Anatomy, Royal Pains, Parenthood, The Vampire Diaries, Awkward, Beauty & The Beast and College Game Day on ESPN.
Kopecky has already toured all over the world and have played at some of the largest music festivals including Austin City Limits, Bumbershoot, and Lollapalooza. The band is currently on a fall tour.
