The 1975
Oct 16, 2015
'"Love Me" is the latest single released by the British group, The 1975. The band also revealed that their second album will be titled "I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It" and will be seventeen tracks long. It will be released in February 2016 via Interscope Records and follows their 2013 debut "1975". With clear nods to the 80s, "Love Me" shows the new funkier The 1975. Front-man Matthew Healy says he's "sick to death" of the lack of good pop music these days.
Formed in Manchester, The 1975 consists of Matthew Healy (vocals & guitar), Adam Hann (guitar), George Daniel (drums & backing vocals) and Ross MacDonald (bass). They have put out four Eps and one self-titled album. This collection debuted at number 1 in the UK Albums Chart in September 2013. "Sex", "Chocolate" and "Girls" were the standout tracks from it. The band has toured internationally and also played the 2014 Coachella festival.
The 1975 will be touring the U.S. beginning in December.
