Holy White Hounds
Oct 22, 2015
"Switchblade" is the latest single from the Des Moines Alt Rockers, Holy White Hounds. In the track, front-man Brenton Dean paints a lyrical portrait over a bass and drum groove that builds into a bridge of guitars. Holy White Hounds will release their debut album "Sparkle Sparkle" via Razor & Tie on May 6th. The album is comprised of songs like their first single "Switchblade," which is as influenced by Beck as much as it is by Queens of the Stone Age. The collection was produced by Brandon Darner (Imagine Dragons) in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Formed in late 2013 between long-time friends Brenton Dean (vocals, guitar) and Ambrose Lupercal (bass), Holy White Hounds released their debut EP, "Oh Mama" that same year. They have since added Seth Luloff (Drums) and James Manson (Guitar). They have performed live with Cage The Elephant, Sick Puppies, Cake, Wavves, Surfer Blood and Rob Zombie.
When asked why the band named themselves Holy White Hounds, Dean quickly responds with "We're dirty but we're not unclean. We're mangy but you'd still let us sleep in your bed.”
