On January 13th, The xx will release their highly anticipated third full-length album entitled "I See You" via Young Turks. The first single out now from the collection is called "On Hold." This album marks a new era for the London trio, both sonically and in terms of the process. "I See You" was produced by Jamie xx and Rodaidh McDonald over almost three years in cities around the world: New York, Marfa, Reykjavik, London, L.A.
The band shared a statement about their return, "After many years, close together, far apart, great highs, deep lows, heartache and healing, we are so happy to let you know we are releasing our 3rd album 'I See You' on January 13th 2017. We realize these are uncertain times and we hope the joy and love we found making the record will find its way out into the world, in however small a way."
The xx was formed in 2005 in Wandsworth, London. The group is made up of Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith. "I See You" is the follow up to The xx's two previous albums, "XX" and "Coexist" sold over 3 million copies between them.
