The Return Of Live Music Discussed At Virtal#HAPPENS For The Alternative Community
It was exciting to moderate a panel on “The Return Of Live Music” with Warren Christensen from Q Prime, Troy Hanson from Cumulus/WKQX/Chicago, and Eva Alexiou-Reo from FATA Booking Agency at the latest installment of Virtual#HAPPENS, a ZOOM Happy Hour for the Alternative community on April 1st. Here are some takeaways from the discussion: Everybody wants to tour in the fall and there is a venue shortage. There could even be a tour bus company shortage since some went out of business. Several tours will be announced over the next few weeks. Wrigley Field announced concerts for August but if they can only be 50% capacity nobody will make money and the events probably won't happen. Weathers was in the spotlight with their new single "C'est La Vie" and Nerf from KTCL/Denver did a Q&A with the band. Huge props to the #HAPPENS team Todd Sievers, Beatrix Danko, Ken Pittman, and Steve Walker for making it happen!
