There are three ways to enhance your morning show that not every radio station utilizes.
A Morning Show Teaser is a short, dry sentence or two about something coming up on the next show. Teasers are designed to run up song intros as to not interrupt forward momentum. Morning Show Teasers benefit fans of the morning show and keep them intrigued and interested.
A Morning Show Promo is basically a “best of break” with an invitation to listen which airs once an hour outside of the morning show. Ideally, making one new promo every day while replacing the oldest one gives you five in rotation. It’s important that the five promos capture the full DNA of the show: heart, fun, interaction, etc. Morning Show Promos are designed for those who listen to your station but not during the morning show.
A Morning Show Bumper serves as a transitional, produced piece of audio for use inside of the morning show. Bumpers typically have the station voice give the phone number or reinforce a brand characteristic of the show itself or a personality on the show. Bumpers also help when a heartfelt break is going into a really upbeat song or a really fun break is going into a meaningful power ballad…just like jingle packages offer. Morning Show Bumpers act as a bridge to help you transition from one emotion to another.

In some formats, like Contemporary Christian, PM Drive is the entry point for new listeners. Inviting them to listen to your morning show can help reinforce it as the anchor of your radio station.
