So I just realized that GMA Dove Week, or whatever it's being called now, is about a week away.

Usually people are more surprised that it's already upon us because they're in a frenzy of last-minute details.

I think people this year are probably more surprised that it's already upon us because, well, there are no last-minute details.

What is even happening in Nashville in 10 days?

And how many of us are even venturing to Nashville, or if in, Nashville, venturing downtown?

I've heard of some collaboration among labels, and particularly publicists, to get things together for the Dove Awards but beyond that, silence. No buzz. Even the bad buzz seems to have no life.

Probably for the best. Let GMA Dove Week pass into the great beyond with some peace and dignity.
