BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:

- 2013 Love & The Outcome
- 2016 These Are The Days
1. Give me a brief history....birthplace, childhood, schools, jobs, current hometown.
Jodi: We were both born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. We grew up 5 minutes apart, went to the same high school, our dads worked for the same company, yet we never met until we were hired by a worship artist to tour across the country! We currently reside in Nashville, TN y'all :)
2. What does a normal day at home look like for you?
There's really no normal in our life! That being said, a perfect day off (sabbath rest day) for us is morning coffee on the deck, a hike, and then eating homemade guacamole and quesadillas while vegging on the couch watching 'Stranger Things' on Netflix. Chris and I have date night and church killer combo on Tuesday nights and we see friends and hang out on Wednesday nights. We have a good life :)
3. What's the song that you just can't get out of your head right now?
Our son Milo's jolly jumper jam is Justin Timberlake's single "Can't Stop The Feeling". It's so fun and positive. Just makes you feel good. Sometimes we take ourselves too seriously, and this song reminds us that God's got it and we can dance and enjoy the moment.
4. How much do you travel, what are the challenges? How do you juggle life on the road with wanting to be home?
We generally travel Thursday-Sunday and are home Monday. Our travel schedule leaves all of us, especially our 6-month-old son Milo, a little off on that first day home. We were recently blessed with a new tour vehicle called "White Neptune" that has six bunks in it. It sure beats the 15-passenger van we were traveling in. This helps make the road feel more like home. We have our own space on the road and travel as a family everywhere we go.
5. What artist or pastor has had the greatest impact on you?
Our home church in Nashville is called "The Belonging." Our pastors are an Australian married couple, Alex and Henry Seeley, and we are in love with our Tuesday night service. They leave so much room for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide the gathering, and it's refreshing to hear both a female and a male perspective from the pulpit.
6. What's the last book you read?
We just came home from summer holidays so we had beach time, which means a beach read. I read "The Goldfinch," a story of a boy with a troubled life and an obsession with art and beauty. It was a fabulous read and left me thinking about what is beautiful and how blessed I was with the upbringing and parents I have. Chris finished "River of Stars" a historical fiction that he loved. I'm also halfway thru Christine Caine's new book "Unashamed." I'm enjoying a chapter each morning with my coffee. First thing's first, Jesus and coffee.
7. Funniest or most embarrassing moment on the road?
This past weekend Milo had a poop explosion all over my shirt and in my hair minutes before we stepped onstage! Chris got a picture of it, a moment I will never forget!
8. Take us through a couple songs on your latest project, THESE ARE THE DAYS.
I love how you can write a song and not know how much you yourself need the message it holds! "The God I Know" is that song for me. Being a new mom and taking Milo on the road at six weeks old caused me to have some stressful moments. I had to choose to throw my hands up and my worries down and let the Lord help me. Nursing on the road as well as traveling without a nanny are decisions we've made that bring with them a fair number of challenges. But it's been amazing having other moms come and chat with me who have struggled with the same things. Any 'faking it' I could do before I was a mom I can't do anymore! I am so dependent on the Lord for strength.
"These Are The Days" was the last song we wrote while reflecting on all the miracles the Lord has done in our life over the past year. I was 9 months pregnant and we had just moved into our first house...and we were reflecting and walking down our street and Chris said to me "Babe, these are at the days...the days we'll never forget!" It resonated with me so deeply, and became the name of the record. It reflects the season of celebration of life that we are in.
9. What organization/service group are you affiliated with?
We have always supported "LIFEWATER" since living in Canada. They drill wells in Liberia, Africa and beyond, as well as birthing centers. We have visited their projects and seen their work on the ground. Water is the basic necessity and starting place of life. Growing up in Canada the idea of not having clean water is crazy, the water in our toilets is clean enough to drink! So it seemed like a no-brainer to support Lifewater.
10. Name a person you'd most like to have a discussion with, living or dead.
Chris: Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
