1) Were you shocked by the response to your CD last year when it made you the top-selling artist in Contemporary Christian Music?
We were the top selling artist last year?!?! Wow that's cool!
2) How did this affect your recording of your sophomore project?
It didn't really affect how we approached the second record at all. We know that we have so much more to learn and more growing to do so replicating past accomplishments is really never an option for us. Our goal was to mature.
3) The new songs on "Another Journal Entry" came from your own personal journals. Was it difficult to be this open with your personal life?
Not really. God has really shown us that it's through our brokenness and stories of redemption that peoples lives can be touched. Our right answers or great ideas aren't needed in this world. It's about honesty.
4) Your message of self-esteem to teens and young adults is such a lifeline of hope. What kind of impact is that having with your fans? Can you give us some examples?
We get countless stories daily by e-mail, letters, and at our shows of men, women, teens, and young adults who have been impacted by our own struggles in this area. We've heard stories from cutters, anorexics, and even many suicide attempts that have heard one of our songs and God used it to help change the course of their lives. Those stories have always impacted us girls more than anyone could ever know.
5) Your message is "don't conform, be transformed" but isn't that difficult to do in today's society where there's so much emphasis on the person's exterior rather than what's going on inside?
That's exactly why we don't conform to today's culture, because this world is feeding us lies that we have believed for far too long. If we are going to ever impact this world and live freely ourselves, we have to embrace the truth. However in embracing the truth, you will stand out in a world filled with lies. We hope to prove to our generation that this is not a negative thing.
6) You're starting to make some waves in the mainstream market with "Another Journal Entry." Is that a goal for this group to crossover?
Our goal has always been to go everywhere God is leading us. If He's leading us to crossover then He will equip us with the wisdom and strength to stand.
7) All of you were taking different career paths before BarlowGirl was born, what were your dreams and hopes back then?
Becca wanted to be a cosmetologist or mechanic, Alyssa wanted to pursue theatre or directing, Lauren wanted to work with animals, or be a dolphin trainer at Sea world.
8) What do three sisters do for fun on the road during any down time?
We go to movies (on the road we enjoy comedies the most. Laughing helps us unwind more.), we go to Target or a local mall, the other day we had an hour to kill at the airport before a flight so we all got one of those quick massages.
9) What is your favorite passage of Scripture?
Becca: Isaiah 62
Alyssa: Isaiah 49
Lauren: 1 Corinthians 1310) Which character in the Bible do you most relate to? Why?
Becca: John, because John seemed to be a quiet person who was very observant and through that acquired a lot of wisdom.
Alyssa: Joseph has always been one that I have been most drawn to. I loved his willingness to dream and trust God no matter what he was going through.
Lauren: Peter because he always said what was on his mind and it got him in trouble most of the time. But then God got a hold of him and he became one of the most passionate people in the Bible.

On the last day of tour bands always prank one another or try to mess each other up. So during our set when Lauren shares why we have chosen not to date and how we are trusting God that in His timing we will get married that we don't have to try and find our future spouse the guys all ran on stage and got down on one knee and held up huge wedding rings made out of aluminum foil and proposed to us girls.
