BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
1. Please tell us how 2020 changed your relationships?
2020 Definitely made me value my relationships with family so much more. The fear of the unknown forced us all to really value the time we have with the ones we love more than ever, so I found myself checking in on my parents way more than I did previously.
2. Share the most challenging part of the past year.
Honestly not being able to travel to see my parents was the most challenging part of the past year. The restrictions put in place prevented not only gatherings in states but being able to gather outside of the country too. My family still lives in South Africa and so having to cancel plans to see them and not knowing when we will be able to see them in person is still something I am trying to navigate today.
3. Some really great advice you received recently was…
Watch WandaVision! Seriously.
4. How do you continue to deepen your relationship with Jesus?
I try my best to not only set time aside in the day but also remaining open through out the day by inviting him into the center of everything I do, the moments I need a parking spot at the grocery store or the times I need his guidance before stepping into a tough conversation at work. I include him in every part of my day.
5. Share about that new song of yours.
QUIET is all about making space and time in a loud and busy world to be still and hear from God. I think we live in a time where we have access to more voices and thoughts than any of us can handle and its so easy for us to lose perspective on the one voice that matters! So this song was written as a cry to God but also as a decision from us to deliberately turn off every other distraction and focus on the practice of silence to help us better tune into the voice of God.
6. Tell us about someone who you really respect and why?
I respect my wife a lot! She has taught me patience like no one else.
7. What would surprise people most about you?
I love fast food (I eat it everyday) but I hate drinking water.
8. What’s on your nightstand?
A lamp, My wireless charger and a bowl of candy.
9. What are you most excited about this year?
Releasing new music and hopefully worshipping with new friends in new cities soon.
10. What do you do for fun?
I love watching soccer, occasionally playing tennis and bike rides with my wife. More than that is laying on the couch and binge watching a good series or movie.
