10 Questions with ... George Mhondera

1. Share about that new song/album of yours.

Excited about my New Single "Not Even Once." I look back as a kid born in Zimbabwe full of dreams and wonder think of where I am now. I am so humbled and grateful for what God has done in my life, its more than I could have ever dreamt or ever imagined. This song talks about always remembering Gods kindness and faithfulness and no matter where we are or what we go through that God is always always with us and that he will never ever fail us. I have lived his goodness time and time again, lived miracle after miracle and i wanted to celebrate that with a song.

2. What's one thing you wish you had known about being an artist when you first started?

I wish I had known that although music is about doing what you love and its fun playing there is always the business side of it you need to take care of. Not always fun, but necessary.

3. How has God pulled you out of your comfort zone?

I have lived on 3 continents lived in 5 countries and travelled to over 70 countries. There is something about God calling you to the Nations and for one getting to experience different cultures that opens your heart and mind up. It's stretching, but you learn to build bridges and become sensitive in being able to love and connect with people who are different from who you are. You learn to put roots down in any environment even though its outside your norm. This has helped me to trust the Lord more and be ok outside my comfort zone. God keeps opening new doors in new places.

4. Some great advice you recently received is…

Love Jesus more and Love People more.

5. Tell us about someone who you really respect and why?

My Mum. I love how she loves Jesus with a childlike faith and how she always involves him in every little detail of her life.

6. What's something about you that would surprise most people?

That I am one of 8 boys and that I was a serious Rugby Player and wanted to make a career out of it.

7. What's your go to song when the windows are down and you're driving on the highway?

Wow that's a trick question, I guess Tears for Fears "Everybody Wants To Rule The World "

8. In three words describe your ideal vacation.

Beach, Sunshine, Seafood

9. Describe your life when you're not writing, recording, or touring?

Love spending time at home with family. Love playing basketball, watching Documentaries and Cartoons with my 2 girls. Cooking and grilling and hosting friends are a must. I'm an outdoor kinda person so enjoy Gardening and taking walks in the countryside.

10. Tell us one thing that you bought recently that WASN'T on your grocery list.

Mochi.... kids get you buying weird things :)
