1. Share about that new song/album of yours.

EASY TO PRAISE!!!!

As Christ followers…we've got joy…. anchored deep down in our souls!

This anchor is Jesus….and while happiness is a fleeting emotion…it comes and goes…this joy doesn't waver!

This song is a joy filled party….a worshipful response to all that Jesus has done! How He called us out of the grave, He set our feet on solid rock, He gave us a brand-new start, and His spirit lives inside us. When I think about it, I can't help but shout hallelujah. God truly makes it easy to praise!

2. What's one thing you wish you had known about being an artist when you first started?

I think I thought it would look a certain way. I wish I had known that there'd be lots of twists and turns, ups and downs. But I'm daily learning to trust Jesus...and hanging on His call into this! He called me into it...so I trust He's still working!

3. How has God pulled you out of your comfort zone?

OH BABY! God has called me out into the wilderness this past season. It's been a good thing....but hard. It's been time alone with just Him and Me. He's been teaching me hard things. Giving me permission to let go of things I've been holding onto or that I thought mattered. Giving me a new take on our relationship as Father and Son. Reminding me what my mission is all about and reaffirming that over and over. I am walking in faith and trusting!

4. Some great advice you recently received is…

Take your calling serious....but don't take yourself too seriously.

5. Tell us about someone who you really respect and why?

The Goat Himself...Chris Tomlin. He's been serving the church and giving us songs to sing and connect with God for decades. AND HE'S NOT SLOWING DOWN! I'm just a big fan of someone who makes a big impact, but can stay faithful to the call for years and years.

6. What's something about you that would surprise most people?

Im suuuuuper high energy, not the slightest bit shy, and always up for a party......BUT what might not be obvious...im introverted. I love alone time to refuel. All the fun and joy is actually grounded in a really deep place that the Lord has been cultivating in me over the past 10 years. I've been diving deep into myself, my past, my outlook on life, and emotional health. God has been showing me more and more of who I am and more and more of who He is!

8. In three words describe your ideal vacation.

SANDALS. JAMAICA. PLEASE

9. Describe your life when you're not writing, recording or touring?

I'm a family man!!! I'm partying it up with my wife and 4 kids! Our kids are at really sweet ages right now...they love being with us....and actually think we're cool. I've heard that changes in the teenage years! Ha

10. Tell us one thing that you bought recently that WASN'T on your grocery list.

Blue Bell Chocolate Ice Cream is never on the list, but it always makes it way home!!!!
