1) Tell us real quickly how you got connected to Fervent Records.

A friend of mine from Dallas sent my independent project to a friend of his who works at Fervent. Here we are now. [smile]

2) What's the story behind the single "Starry Night"?

I wrote that song while rededicating my life and music to Christ.

3) What is the theme of the new album "No Far Away"?

The main theme is just a man living and learning life as he goes.

4) Do you have any humorous or interesting stories from recent radio visits?

It has actually been very humorous at times. There have been a couple times where I have written a song on the spot for a station and played it on air right then. Those times were pretty interesting and funny.

5) Do you have a favorite song on the new album?

"Winter Time." The lyrics in that song are some of my favorite I've ever written.

6) Who inspires you personally and/or professionally?

Ed Cash. He has inspired me in both of those ways. He helped me in so many ways while making this record, both spiritually and musically.

7) Which do you enjoy more: the process or the performance, the studio or the stage?

This is a hard one. They are so different. I'm going to have to take the easy way out and say they are equal. I love the creative side of the studio, but I love seeing what my songs mean to people live.

8) Where is your favorite place to play? Do you have a favorite city/venue?

That's another hard one. I have to say Dallas. It's where I'm from. I absolutely love playing there.

9) What song do you wish you had written?

10) Do you have much time to check out other artists' music? What are you listening to right now?
