Bethel Music

Bethel Music, the worship ministry of Redding, CA-based Bethel Church, already hit No. 1 on iTunes' Christian and Gospel chart with its highly anticipated and first-ever full-length studio recording, TIDES. The album launched to the top of the chart through the momentum of pre-orders being accepted at iTunes. TIDES also grabbed the No. 1 Christian and Gospel single position on iTunes with "Chasing You," a Jenn Johnson led song about following God with insatiable abandon. While other artists have garnered significant airplay with their recordings of Bethel Music songs, "Chasing You" will be the first Bethel Music single to ever be serviced directly to radio.
Following the single release and the success of the pre-sale, Bethel Music was further honored this week with two Gospel Music Association Dove Award nominations. The chart topping song, "One Thing Remains," written by Bethel Music's Brian Johnson and Jeremy Riddle, as well as Christa Black Gifford, gathered nominations for both "Song" and "Praise & Worship" Song of the Year. "One Thing Remains" was originally featured on Bethel Music's Be Lifted High (2011) and has more recently been covered by Kristian Stan?ll
Over the last four years, Bethel Music has grown from being a local church music ministry to becoming a global outreach featuring a cadre of songwriters and worship leaders, a half-dozen CDs, chart-topping songs, and both online and on-campus worship schools. Now with global distribution through Fuel Distribution / Tonetree Music, plus physical distribution in the U.S. to Christian stores through New Day, Bethel Music readies its next musical offering, TIDES. The album is an expression of passionate emotion, anthemic declaration, and sometimes surprising experimentation, and features original songs and music led by senior worship pastors Brian and Jenn Johnson, and worship leaders Jeremy Riddle, Steffany Frizzell Gretzinger, William Matthews, Matt Stinton and Hunter Thompson.
