The six-time Grammy award-winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has released its second music video from their top-selling new CD, Pray. The song called "At the Cross" was written by choir director Carol Cymbala, album producer Jason Michael Webb, and Brooklyn Tabernacle's worship and band leader, Freddy Washington.
"'At The Cross' is a new praise and worship chorus we have been singing with our congregation," says Cymbala. "It lifts up the greatness of what Jesus did when He came and died for our sins. I believe this song will inspire a deeper love and spirit of worship in churches which will help us all overcome the anxieties and fear that are so prevalent in the world today."
"At The Cross" is currently being played on nearly 90 radio stations across the country, and was on the Billboard Christian Soft AC Most Added single list for the past two weeks. The Pray CD debuted at #1 on the iTunes Christian and Gospel Albums Chart, and is currently at #2 on the Billboard Gospel Albums Chart. The music video for "At The Cross" was filmed live in concert at Brooklyn Tabernacle.
The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has performed at major music venues such as Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Madison Square Garden. In addition to their six Grammy Awards, the choir has garnered seven Dove Awards (Gospel Music's Grammy equivalent), two #1 Billboard charting CDs and over four million albums sold. The choir sang "The Battle Hymn of The Republic" at President Obama's second inauguration ceremony on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to a worldwide television audience of over a billion people. The Choir has performed on various national TV shows including Good Morning America and Fox and Friends, among others. Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir was featured on the cover of The New York Times and highlighted in Time Magazine.
