Veteran Given Free Car From Family, With Help From Radio
When fifteen year old Trenten Shubert and his family turned to local radio stations* for nominations to help them find a veteran to give a free car to, they never imagined they’d get over 140 nominations.
They are excited to give Lacey Auble a free 2012 Ford Focus. With the help of Gresham Ford the vehicle will also include Ford Extended Service Protection warranty and free Maintenance Care agreement at Gresham Ford Quick Lane. Lacey Auble will be given the keys during a presentation including free pancake breakfast on Monday, Presidents Day at 9 am at the dealership located on 1999 E Powell Blvd in Gresham Oregon. The public is invited to attend.
Lacey Auble served as a combat medic from 1999 to 2005 and is now working with Veterans at the Portland VA. According to her husband, Army Veteran Tyler Auble, he wanted to honor her for her military service as well as her current work, “She spends extra hours working overtime and caring for other veterans, making sure that their needs are met and still manages to show
God’s love to our four kids. In her spare time, she helps me as a Pastors wife, showing Gods love to our community.†In addition to the winner of the vehicle, Gresham Ford will be honoring three others with a check for $250 each. The honorees are Jason Muehe, Ryan Adovnick and Justin Damerville.
The vehicle is a 2012 Ford Focus SEL with an automatic transmission, Title and registration fees are included and since this is a gift, there are no taxes to be paid by the recipient.
