Josh Havens Of The Afters Stops By Family Life Radio
Josh Havens from The Afters recently visited the staff at Family Life Radio (FLR), playing fan favorite songs and giving insight into the life of the band and their songs. Havens told the FLR staff about the testimony of his brother, who was a meth addict for 10 years, but found Christ and has been sober for 15 years and his sister, a former atheist, who found God later in life. Both helped to inspire The Afters newest song, “Say Goodbye (Say Hello).” Havens penned it as a reminder that God can change any heart, with lyrics like “if you're carrying your past like it's a ball and chain,” and “there's mercy like an ocean you can sail away.” “Hearing the meaning behind The Afters latest song, ‘Say Goodbye (Say Hello),’ gave me goosebumps. It’s the ultimate turnaround story about how God can transform any life, no matter the disparity,” said Mike Kankelfritz, Dir./Programming and Mornings. (L to R Josh Havens,Mike Kankelfritz)
