WJIE Listeners Raised Over $25,000 For Kids Served By OneChild
WJIE/Louisville listeners raised money for girls who have recently been rescued from trafficking in the Philippines. Over $25,000 was raised during the 2-day event for OneChild. These girls are now living at OneChild’s Happy Horizon’s Children’s Ranch, where they are safe, can find healing, and begin to see a better future. WJIE GM Troy Miles shared, “The WJIE team is very thankful to be an outlet to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking. We are honored to be a part of what God is doing through the ministry of OneChild and Happy Horizons Children’s Ranch. Faron Dice was amazing to work with, his devotion and enthusiasm for this ministry was evident during the event.” OneChild National Director for Radio and Artist Engagement Faron Dice added, “The WJIE team was so great to work with! Their personal passion and concern for this issue came through and it was awesome to see the listeners respond. Because of this 2-day radio event, so many lives will be forever changed!” (L to R): GM Troy Miles, OneChild's Faron Dice, and PD Jim Galipeau
