Despite all the attempts at keeping your workplace calm so you can work on the mission for ratings and revenue, there is always one person or persons capable of creating chaos. It might be an air personality with an ego problem, a PD who rules by intimidation, or a sales department that has not made budget.
A Word Of Advice...
Keep control of a stressful environment and don't let anyone raising their voice throw you off your game. Many times, it’s a tactic they use to deflect from the real issue.A Lesson Learned...
A few years ago I had to sit and listen to disgruntled salespeople in an unscheduled sales meeting. I was the new Program Director hired from the outside to come in and improve the ratings. It was a Friday afternoon, and the sales assistant popped her head my office, "###y needs you in the conference room for a minute." That's the last time anyone around here will try and use you as a scapegoat for anything."You'll Always Be In Charge If You…
Never ever rise to the other person's anger during a discussion. Remember, no one can make you angry unless you allow it. Stay calm and in control. Don’t let anyone use a theatrical outburst as a tool to throw you off your game or the issue at hand. -
