Don't be shy, get on social media and connect with people of note in radio. Whenever you can, use the lost art of talking on the phone to find out what you need to know. If a couple of days go by and you don’t get a return call, be pleasantly persistent and call again. Send that person an email. If you don’t get a response, send another, apologizing and state that you were making sure your last e-mail didn’t go to spam.
