1. Is it true that the first song that you learned on the guitar was "Sweet Home Alabama"? Were you a big Skynyrd fan growing up? Who else did you listen to growing up?
No, actually first song I learned was "Freebird." I'm a huge fan of Skynyrd - really all Classic Rock & Country.
2. Tell us about the new single, "Miss Me Baby." It's a great song that really builds. You co-wrote it with Monty Powell correct? How did that process go?
It was pretty easy actually, we just finally figured what we wanted to say and it fell onto the page.
3. We know that you grew up in Texas and made the plunge, moving to Nashville in 1994. What kind of jobs did you have to work to survive while you were honing your songwriting skills?
I worked as a house framer, roofer, nanny, golf caddy and a waiter/bartender.
4. What kinds of things are you gearing up for as a new single comes out? Then a new album? What is Chris Cagle looking to conquer next out there?
We're gearing up to take it to the next level. What do I want to conquer? The World!
5. What kinds of things do you like to do when you're at home, and where is home right now for you anyways?
I work with my horses here in Nashville.
6. As a songwriter where do you draw most of your inspiration?
Personal life experiences.
7. What's the best piece of advice you have received regarding your career? Life in general?
Regarding career: Be nice to everybody
Regarding life: There's always something to do. Don't be afraid to slow down.
8. Not too long ago you were on mandatory vocal rest for six months. What did you do to pass the time?
I shoveled horse poop for free.
9. If you had not made it as an artist or songwriter what line of work would you be in?
I would still be trying like hell to make it.
10. What is the last thing you do before going onstage every night?
Lay out my clothes piece by piece, turn on AC/DC, get naked - Then get dressed.

I come off rugged and hard but I'm really a softy.
B. You have been quoted as saying that, "you're a redneck and that's a good thing. But that can depend on which side of the reckneck you're on." So which side on the redneck are you on?
