John Daly
Jul 26, 2010
Professional golfer John Daly has added a new shot to his repertoire with his new album from Nashville-based digital label, GMV Nashville. "I Only Know One Way" is Daly's second album release and features a mix of Country songs, Blues numbers, like "Hit It Hard" and "Big John", ballads like "Wrong Directions" and "Lost Souls" and the occasional cover song like Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door". The title track, "I Only Know One Way," features Capitol/Nashville artist Darius Rucker, who co-wrote the song with Daly.
Following his debut release, "My Life," Daly was encouraged to record a follow-up album by friend and Nashville industry veteran, Herky Williams. Williams connected Daly with songwriter and record producer David Malloy, who produced the 11-track collection in Nashville.
"The album itself is really my life," said Daly in a recent interview. "All of the songs have a meaning to them. Most of the record is happening - or has happened in my life. I hope people can relate to some of the troubles I have had along the way. Everyone around the world has problems, and I want to connect with those people."
