Trisha Yearwood celebrated her 20th anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry member last night (3/12) with a performance at the Opry house in Nashville. Opry member and good friend Emmylou Harris made a surprise appearance to introduce Yearwood, telling the audience, "From the moment we first heard that stunning voice and saw that beautiful smile, we fell in love with Trisha Yearwood.” Harris continued, “She would, of course, become and remain one of the shining stars on the Opry stage or any stage.”
Yearwood sang five songs, including duets of "Two Highways" with Ricky Skaggs, and "Whiskey To Wine" with husband Garth Brooks. She finished up her anniversary performance by singing her #1 debut single, "She's In Love With The Boy" and telling the audience, “We’re gonna do this again in 20 years, count on it!” For more information on Yearwood, visit www.TrishaYearwood.com.
