Kacey Musgraves

MCA Nashville's Kacey Musgraves took to Twitter this weekend to raise money for Texas residents who are going without electricity and water due to Winter Storm Uri, and took a jab at her native state's Senator Ted Cruz while at it. After Cruz faced widespread backlash for taking a trip with his family to Cancun, Mexico amid the outages, Musgraves first teased that she would release t-shirts that say "Cruzin For A Bruzin," accompanied by the caption "Link coming soon. Don't RUN OFF anywhere ..." Shortly after, she put the shirts on sale, writing, "Texas is cold, I can be cold," playfully referencing her song "Slow Burn."
The sale of the limited edition T-shirts ended Sunday (2/21), and Musgraves tweeted, "Holy heck, we hit $100k in donations from the t-shirts! Thank you x infinity!" According to Musgraves' website, the profits will directly go to Feed The People Dallas, Casa Marianella and the American Red Cross of Central & South Texas. (Photo: Shutterstock/Lev Radin)
