Arista Nashville's Adam Doleac played the ultimate April Fool's prank on his fans today (4/1). The singer/songwriter, and former Ole Miss baseball player, posted a photo on his Instagram with a photoshopped StarTribune article, announcing his "return to baseball." The fake article headline read, "From The Stage To The Infield" and "Country singer, Adam Doleac, makes his return to baseball signing to the Twins' Minor League team, The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels." The piece was filled with hilarious lines like, "The Mississippi native made the decision after a crippling year in the live music industry and an itch to test his athletic ability again." The prank was revealed at the end of the StarTribune article, but definitely gave some fans a scare along the way!
"Nashville, thanks for the memories," Doleac captioned the photo. "Minnesota, let's make some new ones." (Photo: Jessica Steddom)
