Grand Ole Opry member Mandy Barnett has been enlisted as the singing voice of Susan Sarandon's character, Dottie Cantrell Roman, in the upcoming, Country music-themed FOX-TV series, "Monarch." Sarandon's co-star, Trace Adkins, and the series' other stars do their own singing. But the show's Executive Music Producer, Adam Anders, tells All Access that even though Sarandon can sing (and did so in 1975's "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"), she expressed concern that she doesn't sound like the Country music legend she portrays on the show, leading to Barnett's vocal casting. "Mandy was a great choice," Anders said. "It couldn't be more authentic than a Grand Ole Opry singer."
