Alana Springsteen is readying the release of her debut album, "Twenty Something," in three parts via Columbia Records (NY)/Sony Music Nashville. The first six-song EP, "Twenty Something: Messing It Up," drops on March 24th, led by the just released lead track, "you don't deserve a country song" (listen here). Mitchell Tenpenny is among her co-writers on that track, and is also a guest vocalist on the EP's "goodbye looks good on you." The music video for "you don't deserve a country song" will be premiered by CMT on Monday, January 23rd, when it will be shown on the Paramount billboard in New York's Times Square, as well as on CMT, CMT Music and CMT.com.
Springsteen calls the song, "my attempt to reclaim my power after my ex took so much of it away from me. It’s about finding my confidence and getting to a place where I could start to trust myself and my judgment again. Most importantly, it’s a reminder to myself about the importance of living in the present and being grateful for all of the ‘once in a lifetime’ moments I’ve been lucky enough to experience recently.” (Photo: Lily Nelson)
