Travis Tritt
Feb 9, 2023

A rare album recorded more than three decades ago and credited with getting Travis Tritt his first record deal will be released on streaming services for the first time on May 26th. The 11-track "Proud Of The Country" will be released on digital streaming services via its original label, Copperhill Records. The album will be distributed by Reservoir imprint Painted Desert Music. The original release, then a two-sided album, came out in 1987 on Copperhill, a one-off label used by the recording studio Demo Listen Studio in Marietta, GA. Only 1,000 physical copies were ever made, and the record has never been digitally released. It was produced by Danny Davenport, Billy Suit, and Tritt himself. Tritt wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on the album, including “Get A Little Rowdy,” which is available now.
The release of the project follows Reservoir’s acquisition of Tritt’s publishing and recorded music catalogs in 2022 (Net News 1/24/22). Kicking off March 30 in Troy, OH, the "Travis Tritt 2023" tour will take him and his band through multiple markets, with additional dates soon to be announced. Tritt is also set to join Eric Church on "The Outsiders Revival Tour" for two shows this summer: Cincinnati (July 14) and St. Louis (July 15).
