Chris Shiflett

Foo Fighters lead guitarist Chris Shiflett enlisted The Cadillac Three's Jaren Johnston and Brothers Osborne's John Osborne to co-write his new Rock-influenced Country single, "Black Top White Lines." The three artists wrote it over Zoom in mid-2020. Without spoiling the ending Shiflett said of the song, “Thematically it felt like it turned a classic Country trope on its head a little ... Right away in the studio I could tell it was a bit of a left turn for me musically, but that’s also what I like about it.”
Among the veteran Nashville studio musicians who played on the track are guitarists Tom Bukovac and Charlie Worsham. Watch the lyric video here. "Black Top White Lines" is the first song from a new Shiflett album, produced by Johnston, due later this year on his new label home, Los Angeles-based indie Blue Elan Records.
