Lee Brice
Feb 22, 2023

Curb Records artist Lee Brice has released a statement honoring the life of songwriter/producer Kyle Jacobs, who died at his Nashville home on Friday, February 17th (Net News 2/17). Jacobs, a writer for Curb/Word Publishing, produced four #1 singles for Brice, including "Rumor," which Jacobs also co-wrote.
Said Brice, "These past few days have truly been some of the hardest of my life. At times, I feel lost and buried under this deep sadness. Other times, I sit and remember all the times with Kyle that bring me comfort and make me smile. He was, without a doubt, one of the best people anyone could ever hope to have in their corner. I am eternally grateful for having him in mine. I’ll keep [his wife,] Kellie [Pickler], his family and everyone who was touched by him close to my heart. I’ll miss you 'til we meet again. I love you, brother." See additional industry tributes, including quotes from Curb/Word Chairman Mike Curb and VP/Country Publishing & Creative Colt Murski here.
