Teddy Gentry, one of the founding members of the group Alabama, and a well-known artist, songwriter and producer in his own right, is hitting the stage again.
2011 is shaping up to be a year of performing for Tedd. His concert series started January 21, 2011, with a concert at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville, with subsequent shows on Feb 15th, March 1st and March 15th.
The Jan 21st musical event celebrated Teddy's 59th Birthday, his birthday is actually Jan 22. It also marked the debut performance of his newest band project, Rockit City. The band is made up of Teddy on bass, plus six of Nashville's finest singer, songwriters and musicians: Billy Davis, guitar and vocals, Charles English, guitar, Chip Davis, keys and vocals, Dillon Dixon, acoustic and vocals, Jimmy Stewart, guitar, dobro, fiddle and vocals, and Shawn Fichter rounding out the group on drums.
Recently Teddy has been busy raising his SouthPoll cattle breed in his hometown of Ft. Payne, AL, and when he gets the chance, songwriting and producing in Nashville.
The Nashville shows on 2/15 and 3/01 are open to the public.
