Singer-songwriter John Rich was honored this week with the installation of a "Tennessee Music Pathways" marker in downtown Dickson, TN, honoring his contributions to Tennessee's musical heritage. Rich, who attended Dickson County High School his senior year, was joined by state and local dignitaries for the unveiling event at Clement Railroad Hotel Museum. Started by the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development in 2018, Tennessee Music Pathways is an online planning guide that connects visitors to the state’s rich musical heritage at TNMusicPathways.com.
Rich catapulted to stardom as half of the Country duo Big & Rich. Prior to that, he was a bassist, singer, and songwriter for Lonestar. In 2011, Rich won NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice." He is an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, for which he has raised more than $1.5 million. Rich launched his lifestyle brand, Redneck Riviera, in 2014.
