Country legend Charley Pride will release his first studio album since 2006 on March 18th, which is also his 73rd birthday. The project is called "Choices" and will feature thirteen new songs. Eddy Raven and Richie McDonald are among the songwriters for the album. The CD also includes two classic spiritual songs, including "Resting Place."
Pride is best known for his hit "Kiss An Angel Good Morning" and he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on May 1st, 1993. He was the first African American to join the Opry in its 70-year history.
Pride is currently part owner of the Texas Rangers and lives in Dallas, TX with his wife Rozene. He has even been known to join in with the team for workouts during Spring Training. Pride also keeps a busy touring schedule. Check out www.charleypride.com for tour dates and more info.
