Various Artists
Feb 7, 2011
Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood have been announced as the first artists scheduled to appear and be honored at the Academy of Country Music's "Girls' Night Out: Superstar Women of Country" taping on April 4th. The show will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, airing on CBS-TV at a later date.
The event will pay tribute to some of Country music's A-list female artists, all of whom will be honored with unique accolades from the Academy for special achievements in their careers. For example, Miranda will be recognized for being the only female in the ACM's history to ever win "Album of the Year" twice - first for "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" in 2007 and again for "Revolution" in 2009.
Additional honorees and participating artists will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets for the show are on sale now at www.Ticketmaster.com for $200, $150 and $100. Ticket sales will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy.
