Valory Music Co. artist Reba McEntire has opened the new Reba's Ranch House, which provides support for those in need in the Northern Texas and Southern Oklahoma region. The original house opened in 1992 and more than 24,600 guests have found a comfortable bed and a safe place to rest during a family health crisis since the effort began.
"I wanted the Ranch House to offer its guests all the comforts of home: a place to rest and relax among people who care, an affordable haven for people who are lonely and afraid," Reba said.
The Texoma Health Foundation (THF) manages and underwrites the operations of Reba's Ranch House and recently designated $3.1 million for a new replacement facility. The new Ranch House is located in a central location to THF's four-county service area on Highway 75 in Denison, TX. It has 12 rooms, which includes guest rooms with private baths, a kitchen, a library and a courtyard garden. It is also be the new home of THF's administrative offices. The larger facility serves hospitals in Denison, Sherman, Bonham, Durant and Madill, while continuing to serve Texoma Medical Center.
