Tim McGraw

Curb/Nashville artist Tim McGraw has teamed with Outback Steakhouse, who are also sponsoring his Emotional Traffic Tour, to help launch Outback's second annual Thanks for Giving program. The charitable effort raises money for Operation Homefront. Until April 5th, Outback is offering the Red, White and Bloomin' menu to diners and five percent of sales from this menu will go help raise $1 million for Operation Homefront.
"The Thanks For Giving program is a nationwide effort," said Jeff Smith, president of Outback Steakhouse. "It's all about raising funds and awareness for our US Military troops, veterans and their families and to be able to fulfill their needs through Operation Homefront, which is a non-profit organization that provides emotional and emergency support and essential support to military families as they are making the transition from coming back from overseas."
"We're all out to do our business," Tim told GACTV.com, "but when you can give something back along the way, you can find a way to work together to help other people out and to put money into the organization that you support - especially the military for me, because my sister is a veteran. I have great friends who are veterans and have been in the military forever. Working with a company [that is] able to have a platform to put some money back into an organization that they're proud of - and a program that does a lot of good for a lot of people - that's a bonus for me."
As a part of the launch, Tim and Jeff served 350 troops representing all five branches of the military from the San Antonio area a lunch from Outback. They were also able to spend time with Operation Homefront, delivering fulfillments to wounded warriors and speaking with a group about the efforts.
