Taylor Swift
Apr 4, 2011
Big Machine Records artist Taylor Swift collaborated with American Greetings Corporation last spring to launch her own line of greeting cards. Over the past year, the line has successfully grown, with cards being added for various holidays. This spring, as Taylor and American Greetings celebrate a year together, they will launch a new line of cards for the occasion. Since the Valentines Day cards from this past year were so successful, they decided to give all new 28 designs the same "handmade" appearance. The cards look as though each one took hours to create by hand, and some even appear to have an actual photo attached. Taylor has also added music cards to the line for the first time; they'll feature several of her hit songs, including "Love Story," and "You Belong With Me."
Lindsay Kalback, from American Greetings said, "Partnering with Taylor Swift has been an awesome experience. We all really appreciate the challenge that comes from bringing such an honest and authentic voice to the card aisle and continuing to make the product fresh and exciting."
The Taylor Swift spring greeting card collection can be found at select American Greetings retail partner locations stores nationwide. You can also send Taylor's e-cards online through www.americangreetings.com.
Perhaps Taylor sent a few e-cards herself these past few weeks from overseas. Taylor has taken Asian and European audiences by storm, and even found time to check in with the media. Taylor visited BBC's The One Show, and also performed a special concert for BBC Radio 2: Live From Abbey Road. Both Asian and European critics who have seen her show are raving about her performance. Asian One News reported, "There is one thing concert-goers took away from American country sweetheart Taylor Swift's maiden Singapore gig: The gal can sing. On Wednesday night, her vocals were near pitch-perfect throughout the 95 min show......she gave as good as she got."
