Brantley Gilbert

The Valory Music Co. artist Brantley Gilbert's music career was almost over before it barely was able to get started. The Jefferson, GA native was involved in a near-fatal car wreck in 2005.
"I was always the person that 'That's not gonna happen to me. That's never gonna happen to me,'" Brantley, who is now 25, said. "And it did, and I shouldn't have lived through it."
Brantley had just bought a brand new Ford F-150 truck and it only had about 30-something miles on it at the time. When he woke up in the hospital nearly two weeks later, he had some memory loss due to a head injury.
"Essentially everything about me, I think (changed). I had a little bit of memory loss, so the person I was before, I really found in the songs I had already written. And it really just changed my perspective on life as a whole," Brantley added. "So, it felt like I was here for a reason and I felt like I could make a bigger impact with music than with anything else."
Brantley's now looking forward to his new single "Country Must Be Country Wide," his first with The Valory Music Co.
