Radney Foster

Radney Foster is quite busy these days, with a new solo album, "Revival," out, and another album, "It's Already Tomorrow," about to be released. While "Revival" allowed Foster to enlist the help of some of his fellow artists, "It's Already Tomorrow" is the collaboration of he and former Foster & Lloyd duo partner, Bill Lloyd.
"Reviva"l was sparked by change in Radney Foster's life; the death of his father, and the end of his twelve-year 5000 mile separation from his son. Radney calls most of the songs on the album "close to the bone," so personal that he either wrote them or co-wrote them. With songs so personal, it was very important for Radney to get the spirit of his songs across, so he brought his longtime road band into the studio with him. Radney also enlisted the help of some industry friends, such as Dierks Bentley, who you'll hear on "Until It's Gone," and Darius Rucker, who lends harmony to "Angel Flight." For the album's title track, Radney gathered around the microphone with Tammy Rogers and Jon Randall to capture the spirit of "Revival" in one take. The album is available now.
"It's Already Tomorrow," will be the fourth album from Foster & Lloyd, the first they've recorded together in 20 years. Radney Foster says fans can expect the new music to be "a little more mature with our lyrics as writing is concerned," and adds, "It still sounds to me similar to what we were doing live 25 years ago. It's a lot of fun."
While in the 80's the duo had to juggle between their creative expression and radio viability, they didn't run into that problem this time around. "We don't have any constraints this time," said Lloyd, "The sounds of this new album is unfettered by formats." Foster & Lloyd are currently on tour supporting the album, which will be released on May 17th. Digital release will be on April 26th.
