Russell Hitchcock

Russell Hitchcock, lead vocalist of the group Air Supply, is trying his hand at Country music. Russell's new album, "Russell Hitchcock - Tennessee: The Nashville Sessions," will be released on May 10th. While Country music isn't what he's known for, Russell says the sound is a natural fit for him.
"This is not a departure for me," Russell said, "I simply stepped outside the Air Supply box to dip a toe into other waters, an ocean of music that I've admired from afar."
To help him get the country vibe, Russell recorded the album in Nashville's Curb studios. He also enlisted some help with the writing from well known songwriters Josh Thompson, Hal Ketchum, and Wes Hightower.
"Recording in Nashville enabled us to create an organic product; the Southern hospitality, passion and extraordinary talents of the musicians, one and all, bled through into the studio," says Russell. He is extending that hospitality with a 20 song double-disc album which features an accompanying 24 page full-color booklet, an exclusive keepsake created for his fans.
"Russell Hitchcock - Tennessee: The Nashville Sessions," is available for pre-order on Hitchcock's website through the release date of May 10th.
