Columbia Records artist Josh Thompson, currently on the charts with his single, "Won't Be Lonely Long," has inked a deal to represent the fine folks of Waldron Instruments, becoming the company's first major artist endorsement.
Waldron Instruments is a family owned company, located about 30-minutes east of Nashville in the town of Bell Buckle, TN. In a presentation on Music Row recently, Fastrax Entertainment and Waldron Instruments, presented Josh with a hand-crafted, personalized all claro-walnut super-jumbo electric acoustic guitar, and dubbed the "Josh Thompson Jumbo" for his stage performances, along with a hand-crafted OOO 12 fret songwriting guitar.
Kevin Waldron, along with his two sons Jon and Erick, are the foundation that makes up middle Tennessee's hidden secret. Many hours of pride and craftsmanship go into each piece of art created by the local guitar-makers.
"Waldron Instruments is dedicated to crafting works of art. We pride ourselves on building guitars with a sound, look and feel you can't find anywhere else. Our guitars have a clarity and honesty about them that makes them one-of-a-kind. We are excited to have two in the hands of Josh Thompson and are looking forward to this partnership. We sincerely hope he enjoys playing them as much as we have enjoyed building them for him," said Kevin Waldron.
"This guitar is amazing," said Thompson. "Thanks so much to Waldron for building this truly one-of-a-kind guitar for me. I've been using the writing guitar they gave me for a few months now, and everybody from George Jones and Hank, Jr. have played it and love it. It has signatures all over it, and to play this new one, wow, this is great."
