Kenny Chesney

BNA/Nashville star Kenny Chesney unknowingly gave14-year-old Carrington Walker, the Kansas Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's 2011 Girl of the Year, the night of her life at his recent "Goin' Coastal Tour" stop in Wichita. Chesney randomly pulled Carrington onstage and serenaded her with the song "Summertime."
No one knew that Carrington was sick but a series of generous events led to her onstage appearance. Carrington's mother sought tickets in an auction but was outbid; the anonymous bidder gave Carrington the tickets. At the concert, they randomly received bracelets to get close to the stage. During the show, two tall men hoisted Carrington up for a better view at which point Chesney pulled her on stage.
"It was amazing," Carrington said. "I couldn't breathe at all. I just kind of stood there."
Chesney will release his new single "You And Tequila," which features singer-songwriter Grace Potter, to radio later this month. Chesney recently returned to Malibu with Potter to shoot the music video for the song. The video will release next month.
