May 9, 2011
Warner Bros. Records/Nashville newcomer Frankie Ballard is making quite an impression as an artist, including his guitar prowess. Ballard, whose latest single is "A Buncha Girls," will release his self-titled debut album, on May 24th.
Ballard hit the scene when he won Kenny Chesney's "Next Big Star" regional competition in 2008, and got to open for Chesney at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids and Ford Field in Detroit. This year he has opened dates for one of his fellow-Detroit heroes, Bob Seger, and will be with Taylor Swift on her upcoming North American leg of the "SPEAK NOW WORLD TOUR 2011."
Ballard's first album was produced by Michael Knox, and the track listing follows:
- A Buncha Girls
- Single Again
- Place To Lay Your Head
- Tell Me You Get Lonely
- Get On Down The Road
- Sober Me Up
- Rescue Me
- Grandpa's Farm
