"Freedom is what makes America great," Paisley said. "I count myself blessed to live in a country where I can exercise that right every day, whether I'm writing, recording or performing."
The President of the First Amendment Center and "1 For All" founder Ken Paulson said, "Brad Paisley's music has entertained, engaged and enlightened millions," he explains. "His work is free speech set to music, and songs like 'Welcome To The Future,' 'American Saturday Night' and 'Alcohol'reveal truths about the world around us."
The campaign launched last July, after a survey conducted showed that only one in 20 Americans could list their rights guaranteed under the First Amendment, which reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Other celebrities who have joined the campaign include LL Cool J, Mary Chapin Carpenter, John Mellencamp, Ellen DeGeneres and Ke$ha. Check out more information on "1 For All" at http://1forall.us/.
In other Brad Paisley news, he will be a part of the upcoming William Shatner CD to be released by Cleopatra Records. He will add guitar and vocals on "Space Cowboy," which was originally done by Steve Miller.
