Rascal Flatts
Jun 13, 2011
Big Machine Records/Nashville group Rascal Flatts will kick-off their new summer tour Flatts Fest, on June 18th in Bristow, Virginia, which will feature multiple interactive pre-show festivities. Some of which include a karaoke challenge, a wedding chapel, scavenger hunt, and more.
Those who participate in the "Flatts Fest" Karaoke Challenge could win an opportunity to open for the band. Local radio stations and record label executives will be on hand to determine a winner from each show, who will go backstage and meet Rascal Flatts, as well as see their winning performance on the jumbotron.
Their video will then be entered in the grand prize contest for fans to vote on after the end of the tour in September. The grand prize winner gets a trip to the Smoky Mountains to record their own album, and will open a select show for Rascal Flatts during their 2012 tour.
Rascal Flatts' music video for "Why Wait" inspired the group to take marriage into their own hands. One radio listener from each stop will be chosen to say "I Wont Let Go" with their partner, in the "Why Wait" Chapel. Afterwards, the couple will have an opportunity to meet Rascal Flatts backstage.
Fans also have the opportunity to join in on the official scavenger hunt using their cell phone. By checking in to Rascal Flatts' official website, Flatts lovers will receive clues at the venue for a special surprise. Every fan who participates will automatically be entered for a chance to spin the Flatts Fest Prize Wheel, which includes multiple prizes such as an autographed Flatts guitar.
